BBC’s Panorama investigates Britain’s Sharia Courts
The programme claims that domestic violence against women is being ignored by Britain’s Sharia Councils and further the programme claims to have evidence of this.
BBC One’s Panorama on 8th April is an undercover investigation of Britain’s Sharia Councils. Publicity for the programme states that in it women claim that they have suffered domestic violence ignored by the councils. Campaigners say that it is time to tackle the parallel legal system which can run counter to British law.
