Tribunal 12 – Call for evidence of inhuman treatment of migrants and refugees

On 12 May 2012 in Stockholm and across Europe, Tribunal 12 will present an artistically formed trial that seeks to make visible what refugees, asylum seekers and migrants are experiencing in Europe. Tribunal 12 aims to investigate whether human rights are violated; expose the hidden structures that allow for the inhumane treatment of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants and locate the moral, legal and political responsibility for the current situation in Europe.

Having named the jury, Tribunal 12 are now issuing a call for evidence in the form of documents, stories, artworks, analysis, witness statements on the following subjects: border controls, asylum procedure, undocumented migrants, detention and deportation. The deadline for the receipt of evidence is 15 March 2012. If you or your organisation is interested in submitting evidence, please contact evidence@tribunal12.org.

The Tribunal 12 sessions will be broadcast live in theatres and other public spaces throughout Europe, as well as on the project website. See more information on the programme here.
