Does Mansouri & Son immigration department undertake legal aid work?
Unfortunately we do not undertake Legal Aid or Publicly Funded work. However our fee structure is one of the most competitive around and we can often undertake much of your work on your behalf for a simple fixed fee arrangement.
Can I pay for the services you provide in instalments?
Yes. We offer one of the most flexible instalment payment options available and will be happy to tailor this to your particular circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs. We also accept all debit and credit cards as a means of payment which can often help you in spreading the costs of your work.
What is the difference between Mansouri & Son Solicitors and OISC regulated bodies?
As we are a law firm, our immigration department differs significantly from OISC (The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) consultants or advisors in two important respects:
- Firstly, our immigration team consists of Solicitors who have undergone many years of formal legal education and training and, as a result, we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority
- Secondly, by virtue of the fact that all our lawyers are either solicitors or barristers, we are entitled to undertake all forms of litigation work, including applications to the High Court for judicial review and appeals to the Court of Appeal from unfavourable decisions made by the Asylum & Immigration Tribunal.
What is my immigration status while my application for a extension visa is pending with the UK Border Agency?
Provided you make an application for an extension visa before your current visa expires, you visa will automatically remain valid until the UK Border Agency make a decision in relation to your new application, even if the decision is made after your current visa runs. Furthermore, if your current visa permits you to work in the UK, you may continue to work whilst awaiting a decision on your application.
